The Raisin Bread I Told You I Was Going To Make

Well, the dough is in the mixer and in 2 hours it will be ready to set out so that it can rise. I don't bake it in my bread machine... I don't even know why anymore. I simply use the dough cycle and then remove it from the machine, knead it and then it out to rise. About an hour after that, I pop it into the toaster oven to bake. To be honest, we don't even use our oven anymore. Everything fits quite nicely into the toaster oven. They have certainly come a long way from a place to simply toast your bread. And my oven stays nice and clean...

I love raisin bread and have never had it homemade. Baking in the toaster oven sounds ideal especially that it keeps your oven clean. I would love a warm slice slathered with butter or cream cheese

And I have two loaves all to myself because no one else likes it. Yeah me!! I have never tried it with cream cheese though. Might just have to give that one a try!

@BelleStarr I honestly don't think that we have used the oven since we bought the toaster oven. Oh wait, I think that we did use it for Christmas dinner ! Couldn't fit everything into the toaster oven lol!

We have lived in this house since last August and haven't used the oven even once. It's perfect!

I have a bread machine that I never use, I knead the dough manually and I bake the bread in the oven.

I guess that I have gotten lazy or maybe I just have too many things on my to-do list. It's so easy just to dump all of the ingredients into the chamber and hit the "on" button!

I have terrible trouble with my oven, so should probably try to get a toaster oven. I hope you're enjoying raisin bread by now @Hate2Iron :)

There are so many settings on Toaster Ovens these days, one doesn't even need an oven anymore.

You must have a large toaster oven. Every one I've seen is too small for a loaf of bread.

We can get a pizza pan inside and that works most of the time. I would like one with a shelf though. Double the room!!

Not the "oven oven" lol... it went straight into the toaster oven! Two bread pans fit perfectly!

That's a great idea. I replied to your last discussion about the raisin bread. I do love raisins in oatmeal cookies, too.

More than I expected it to be. We don't even put it away. It has it's own spot on the counter lol
