The heat just drains both Scar and I. All either of us want to do is lay down and not move a muscle in the afternoon when the temp starts climbing. But you can't really sleep in high heat...it's too damned miserable, you just lay there and wait for evening to arrive hoping it will cool down. Sometimes it does, sometimes it doesn't. I may start curling up on the porch with him though...it's cooler outside.

We are fortunate of have the cooling breeze off Lake Erie. Last night.....there was no breeze. The humidity meant that it was stifling outside. Our house though stays quite cool. it takes many days of extreme heat to warm up the inside.

I don't think this one is insulated very well, if I wasn't pretty much surrounded by trees on three sides it would be unbearable.

@JolietJake Fortunately, it's rainy season now here in India, and the weather's cooled down. But, yeah, I know, when it's hot, it'll be terribly exhausting. At least, it's cooler for Scar outside!

As miserable as I get, I know that black fur has got to be stifling for him

@JolietJake Oh, that's a valid point. So, how long will the weather be like this there? Hope it cools down at least for the sake of higher creatures (Scar), if not for us lowly humans...

Get you a comfy chair out there and nestle in. If we had a decent patio here that is what I would do. SOme morning I can't get to sleep until 5-6a.

He looks like he is enjoying a nice sleep there, but cats don't ever seem to get too much sleep do they?

I wish the bedroom had a window on the south wall, I could get a bit more air circulation.

A cat can always find the coolest spots. Scar is one zonked out pooped kitty there.
