Scar meowed!

I think I am going to start doing what I see other users doing. I'll just start posting every little thing that happens.
*waits for something to happen*
*waits a little longer*
*waits some more*
*burps*
I just burped!
Note: This probably isn't really a discussion. It's more just me being snarky than anything else. But some days are like that.)
*attempts to make it more discussable*
So yesterday morning around 8:15 I got a text from my boss who is in Florida for a funeral.
He said he was forwarding the phone line to me but there was a 50/50 chance it might not work because that's how it seems to be.
I told him I figured that out the day before when I started getting business calls at 3 in the afternoon.
Which is okay...but I was very drowsy, and I answered the phone like I would have for a regular call, just a "H'lo?"
And there was silence on the other end for a moment.
So I more clearly said "Hello?" and they said "Is this the place to rent sumo outfits?"
So I spent the rest of the afternoon answering in my professional "Hello, Main Event, Mike speaking" voice.
I just wish he'd warn me ahead of time.

A heads up would have been nice. Mascara meowed this morning, twice! I fairly sure I burped a couple of times, but I forgot to document it. I'm heading into the shower shortly. That might make an interesting post. No, that wouldn't be interesting. That would be traumatizing for both me and the reader. Have a good day!

Just please don't tell me daily that you had cereal for breakfast and burgers for lunch - it gets old!

And that is why I tell Tony NOT to answer the business phone and let it go to voicemail , he will be asleep and people think I am a drunk or have a drunk answering the phone

Since when Boss forwards it I get it on my regular phone I don't know what is going on until after I answer it when he doesn't tell me ahead of time.
I answered after glancing at the number and assumed it was going to be a spam call.

@JolietJake LOL, I like to scream like a mad woman in the phone for the spamming calls, seem some had taken me off their calling list without me asking

@andriaperry You should hear me when I get calls from the 'IRS'. They always get mad at me and hang up.

At least I don't answer with "What the (expletive deleted) do you want?" like I used to years ago

Actually, they don't have that freedom or Admin wouldn't delete so many.

@JolietJake They have the freedom to START topics. Whether they're acceptable or not, and whether they continue, is another story.

Sometimes I get those phone calls where they ask for other people and not me.

It is the fault of your boss. I do not blame you. I would do the same. Imagine expecting a call from a loved one and you saying hello darling. You were spared from that embarrassment, atleast.

Oh goodness, talk about awkward silence. Lol. Yes you should have been warned ahead of time.
Live and let live is the way I roll so I don't mind what others want to discuss here-even if it is their bodily functions.

That is funny! You gotta be on your feet everytime your phone rings!

I really don't like dealing with customers on the phone, I don't have much patience and some of them seem so dumb...I had a call from a girl yesterday that wanted to rent something for one hour, I had to tell her a couple times that we rent/ship with UPS and the guy wasn't gonna wait around an hour to pick it up and ship it back to us.

I sometimes feel that is all I do, post every little wiggle here. So then I back off and do not post. I mean, I could post "it is hot today" every day for a week or so. Or of course,"I mowed the lawn", which only goes so far. I think the heat leaves me brain drained and crabby.

A warning after the fact isn't much of a warning, is it? It's like saying "Watch out for that hole in the floor" after someone's fallen through.
In other news, I had a shower this morning, washed my hair and even used conditioner. What do you think about that?
