Yesterday's Hospital Visit.

Yesterday,I was not at mylot most of the time.A very close relative of mine had to go to for an ultrasound (Abdomen) scan and I went along. As it is the way with hospitals, in spite of booking we had to wait more than five hours. Then why they give us a time for appointment is beyond me. Anyway, were able to get the results One and half hours after scanning. The good news is there was nothing wrong, and it was quite a relief. So here I am posting this discussion after finishing the notifications. How was your day?I know most of you are sleeping now.

I think the day was so crazy in my city. We had a sunny day in the morning and it rained in the afternoon.

good thing you were able to get the results on the same day so you don't have to go again just to pick it up.

I am glad your relative is fine. Here, our healthcare is free and we do sometimes have to wait a while, but my experience has always been quite positive and I have had a lot of scans. Getting the results quickly is great. There is nothing worse than waiting for them.

Sorry to hear that. Yes, you have to make appointment with the hospital reception in order to do the ultrascan. Is it a government hospital?

That is very good news for your friend. You are right about appointments. I guess they think some people will cancel and they are making sure there waiting room is full of insurance paying patients. 5 hours is a ridiculous waiting time! Even here (US) 2 hours is a long wait. That's 5 hours of your precious time you can never get back
