Ahhhh friendship, the good ones are better than family ties

Ever notice that sometimes friends are closer than family? Now I'm not talkin about myself but I have seen it in my furmily. I took the above picture right around the beginning of 1993, Spunky was about 8 months old and boy did he love napping with Gracie. Personally, I've had to divorce what little family I had because mostly I was belittled or ignored but that's never happened with friends or furmily. Do you have friends that are closer than family?

I do. I have some family members who haven't talked to me in years even if I reach out but my best friend and I have been close for almost 10 years and she's there for me more than family.

Spunky is funny, it shows how much he love napping with Gracie. We have friend who is closer than family. We know each other from 40 years.

I think it could be as well. I've heard it said that we get stuck with family but we pick our friends. Sometimes the personality clashes within a family makes it difficult to stay close.

I love, love, love that photo!!! It's precious. We have lots of old, close friends that we've known since elementary school, but our family is just as close and all loving people. That is what really counts.

Me too. At least my friends don't put me down or belittle me in front of others the way some of my family did, the exception was dad, he'd always keep things strictly in the family unless he was telling a funny story that didn't have anything to do with putting anyone down.
