Diary Monday 6th August 2017
A day I always dread – my welfare hearing day, and my advisor insisted on me attending a mandatary meeting after my next signing on in two week to discuss possible security work roles. These don’t appeal to me at all as it can be dangerous work with dreadful hours and it is grossly underpaid. You also need certification which may mean needing some kind of training even if offered a role there.
Diary Tuesday 7th August 2017
Today was the fair trade food collection day for this week and I got a good bag full of food, including bread, yoghurts, fresh vegetable and milk. I spent the rest of the day online and preparing my novel which I am extensively revising, changing the point of view completely.

I know not all security jobs are for bouncers but I think the whole industry is surely mostly a younger person's game in increasingly dangerous time. The old idea of the middle aged night watchman with his untroubled shift at a brazier is a lovely nostalgic image (if it ever existed) but no-one in their fifties should be forced into a security role.

I always will say, think you are doing it right just from what I have read from your diaries. They need to try harder to find something that fits what you like and good at.
Problem with these people, always no, take this crap job and like it and think it is refreshing to see someone stand up to that. Good on you sir.
