We come across Jean Fouquet again

I wrote recently about seeing an old painting in a church. The religious painting was by Jean Fouquet and has pride of place in an ancient church. About two days later we toured Chateau de Clos Luce where Leonardo da Vinci spent the last three years of his life. On the ground floor, in the oratory of Anne de Bretagne, is a 16th century Pieta, a delightful illumination by Jean Fouquet, depicting the Coronation of the Virgin. Do you find that, once you come across something new, it turns up a couple times more within a short time?

Well, I do recall 2 places I've been where there were a number of Ancient American Indian petroglyphs on rocks, first was Hueco Tanks then there was Dog Canyon but those ancients didn't leave their names and no one has actually been able to determine which tribe might have drawn them.

Yeah, those kind of things can happen @JudyEv usually I don't have them but that's mostly because I don't travel a lot.

@rebelann Sometimes I'll look up a word that I don't understand and within a day or two it's popped up a couple more times. It's not always about people or places.

I read about Ouessant sheep in a book and within a few days we were seeing them in an animal park. It's get a bit weird.

Yes! And I find it more so when you get a new car. Seems you never notice many of them till you buy one and then that is all you see on the road!

Exactly - or you hear of a town or country or whatever and suddenly it appears a couple more times.

Yes I do, it's like once you become aware of it you now actually see it where before your would have overlooked it.

As @andriaperry says, once you get a new car of a particular make, suddenly you start seeing them everywhere.

@judyev I suppose he never got to take any of his work home to hang on the kitchen wall.

No, I guess not. And didn't Haydn's wife used his manuscript papers to curl her hair?

I read a book which mentioned some obscure word and next night it was mentioned in a TV show. It's a bit bizarre sometimes.

Oh my. I'd sit and just be if I were within the walls where da Vinci spent the last years of his life. Just be. What a grand thing.

@JudyEv The ambience! I believe that there are feelings left by those gone before us.

@sallypup I thought that in Oradour but the feelings there are very sombre and dark. Too long to relate here but I might write about it again one day. I wrote about it in Bubblews I think.

It's hard to work out any logic to these things sometimes.

It was strange to come across him twice in two days, especially when I'd never heard of him before.

You'd have to wonder why or how it happens. Just coincidence I guess.

I wonder if there is any explanation for it or is it just a coincidence?

Yeah it surely does. And I liked the painting very much

Some of these people were very clever, weren't they? I'm hopeless at drawing and painting - unless it's a wall.
