I Could Go Nutty, But I'll Go Fruity Instead!

Fruit in my favourite glass bowl

Well it is almost 48 hours without water now. You can imagine how many happy people there are. The damage was worse than everyone thought. When that water pipe was hit, as I mentioned in my previous discussion, it was hit! They can't let us know when all will be restored and water back. They are however, sorry for any inconvenience, yay. I could go nuts, I could flip my lid. Instead I went shopping for fruit! Lately I've been eating cake and ice cream and well, soon summer will be here and I can afford to slim down a bit. So, I am going fruity! I have put all the fruit in my favourite glass bowl and as soon as we have water again, I will celebrate by making a ginormous fruit salad! It will be a happy and healthy occasion! I hope you all had, are having or will have a terrific Tuesday. How has the first two days of the week been for everyone? Photo is of the fruit in my favourite glass bowl.

I was not here yesterday, I missed your discussion. I am sorry you have no water, this is the most annoying thing of all can happen in a house.

@bluesa I am glad it's okay now. Everything is fine here, I have a headache from two days, but I think it's the humidity of the air.

@LadyDuck , thank you. Oh no, that can be painful. I hope you'll get cooler air soon, do you have something you can take to help soothe the headache? I hope you feel better soon.

We never realize how much we depend on clean water until all of a sudden we don't have access to any. It then because very apparent how many different ways we use water at home or at work. I hope your water is restored soon! By the way, I'm sure there are people out there who think I'm both nutty and fruity! But that's just who I am, so people can love me or hate me the way I am! Hahaha

@moffittjc , that is so sweet of you to say, Jeff. And it is true, life is too short to go around hating people! So, even though we haven't met in person I'll choose to love you too!

A fruit salad sounds good. I just had some cherries, grapes and bananas. Let's hope the water will be back soon!

Fruit is a good thing! No water is not? Between power outages and broken pipes I would be going "batty" and fruity! NOT FUN Catherine

Hi, DB . It has, to say the least, been a trying few days. I have tried to avoid "batty" , lol, for me it would lead to "infuriated" . Yes, you have it right. "NOT FUN" . I hope you'll have a good Wednesday.

@bluesa Hey Catherine, I can relate as I blew a fuse in the electric panel yesterday. So, tried to fix it and got a shock! That's when another fuse blew...mine

Hopefully they can get the water back on and you don't have to go much longer without it. Your fruit looks really good and a nice healthy fruit salad will be perfect for your celebration when the water comes back on

Soon summer will be over for us. They always say that - "sorry for the inconvenience" . It is awful when it happens without warning- that is why a lot of homes on this island have large water tanks on the premises - just in case.Today I had two of the fruits displayed in your bowl - the papaya and banana.

Yes, this caught everyone by surprise. Not even containers and buckets we had lasted. And unfortunately we don't have large water tanks. Good you also had some yummy fruit. :)
