Today we built a greenhouse

One of the other paras had a portable home green house. The students helped assemble it today. The plan is to teach them how to care for plants, possibly grow a little bit of lettuce and herbs. We have very ambitious plans. I have packing for a short overnight trip tomorrow. I need to go see my dad and my brother and his wife. Maybe next week I will become more consistent. Time to shower and get to bed.

We will try to grow some herbs so they can "sell" them to the teachers, and see the end results of working hard.

Having a greenhouse that the students will have access to would be wonderful @GardenGerty Everyone can benefit from the efforts of these students as they learn to take pride in something that can be so much fun and be educational too.

Aging parents do as well as they can. I am glad they are still able to be in their own home.

That sounds like a great project. I hope that the students learn a thing or two. Of course, the teachers will probably learn something as well. Have a good trip.

I have not used a green house. The lead teacher always has a great garden, it helps her feel relaxed and provides her lots of veggies.

@GardenGerty I miss the days when gardening soothed my soul. For some reason, it no longer helps. Gardening seems more like a chore than something pleasant. I hope the students enjoyed it.

I have a small greenhouse and it is very useful to start the plants. I can seed in February when it is still cold outside.

We never know what life skill will connect for them. I did have a good visit, you would think as we get older things would be easier, but they are not. We both are still working.
