The countdown to the fair is on.
The prize book offers so many possibilities for entries.
Obviously the more things I enter the greater the prize payout could be at the end (the totals really aren't that large).
Last night I came across the cutest little pin cushion. I checked out the instructions and decided that would be my morning project.
My morning walk was complete by 8:00 AM.....the pincushion was assembled by 8:30....
Now that was a quick little project.

When I saw the instructions I knew I'd be making one....my husband is a chicken farmer.

I tend to crash around 10:30 PM, but lately insomnia has been a frequent visitor...something about stress.
I am a morning person.

We are as well. I have chicken placemats on the table...usually my wall calendar is chicken related buy
T this year we went with a Canada 150 theme...I miss my chickens.

Adorable! I am hoping to get involved in some fairs in the future as well. This year is not possible though. Too much other stuff going on.

@Morethanamom keeping my hands busy and trying to distract the brain. A big project requires too. I H attention to detail...but a quick pincushion..almost without thinking.

That is adorable! I remember when doing craftwork how much joy I got out of doing a quick project. Often times I would have my 4 children help me assemble some of the work. They loved it so much.

It's probably a bit finicky for the younger grand children to help with....but the older ones could easily make one.

I have one that looks lake a dressmaker dummy. I made it a few years ago. It earned me a first place ribbon.

And how great if it's a prize-winner. My mother and sister used to do really well in the floral section with cut flowers, pot plants and arrangements of flowers. The trophies for most points were usually very nice.
