everyone's favorite topic -- tonight's dinner!

I have a giant pork shoulder that I intended to use to make slow cooker kalua pork, but it takes 16 hours and I forgot to start it last night! Fortunately, I also have a pressure cooker and found directions to make it that way instead (which takes only 2 hours instead of 16). So we'll have the kalua pork, green beans, and some boiled potatoes with butter for dinner. That should keep everyone happy. What are you eating tonight? (Photo from Google Image Search)

I think we're doing something similar for dinner tonight (Friday), although without the tiramisu (which I absolutely love).

I bought my roasted chicken from Costco this weekend. It was much too hot to turn on the oven!

oh yum! I keep saying that I want to try kalua pork. I'm making tuna steaks, roasted broccoli, and cucumbers marinated in balsamic vinegar.

Oh, that sounds pretty good. I haven't had a tuna steak in a long time.

BTW, it was Nom Nom Paleo's recipe that I used. I just converted her Instant Pot directions to work with my stovetop pressure cooker.

mm that looks so good. Sadly I am off meat for good now. I eat only fish and other things. Dinner was split pea soup.

That sounds awesome and tasty! My husband made dinner for us. Grilled ribeye, baked potatoes, and grilled zucchini. He even cleaned the kitchen!!!

Pork is relatively cheap in France and we've been eating a lot of really nice pork meals.

I love slow cooker. I made turkey rice hotdish in the slow cooker, this may take more time than I had hoped. We will see.

I've not ever made hotdish in the slow cooker, but that would definitely work better on a day like today where we don't want to turn on the stove.
