My dad took me to lunch today, at a place called The Garage. As we were leaving, I saw an older lady standing outside of her car, waiting for her companion to exit the vehicle as well. She looked so pleasant, and a lot like my Aunt Melba. My dad, who is always smiling, greeted her with a "Hi". I smiled as well (she just looked like a delight) and greeted her too.
She smiled really big and said, "It's so nice to see happy people!" That made me laugh, and once I repeated what she said to my dad (he's deaf in one ear) he got a hearty chuckle out of it too. That really made me think about my demeanor. I don't know how I look when people glance at me. I would like to think my expression isn't sour, although when I'm in pain I'm sure it's not a welcoming look (like getting a migraine).
My dad always has a smile on his face, no matter what, so I guess he always looks happy.
Are you conscious of your demeanor (other than what you're wearing)?
*The picture is one my sister took in Branson, Missouri. That's her about four years ago.

When I started my job a year ago that was one thing I noticed. People always greeted me with a smile. In fact, they call you by name and smile and ask how you are. It sure puts a nice feeling in the air.

I always smile and wave to my neighbors. Its always good to know friendly people and it makes me feel happier when people smile and wave at me.

I love the butterfly look of the flowers. And the picture in general.
Not too worried about it as even if don't look happy, doesn't mean I'm not. Sane with when I do look it.. doesnt mean i am.

I have seen people smile at me before, just for guys, they don't don't smile they just show their "what's up" with their heads to show they're friendly...or at least that's what I think they do, maybe they maybe those "what you looking at" type of people lol. Girls smile at me just to be friendly as well but not all of them, but just because they don't smile or say what's up doesn't mean they're not happy, they may be scared or since they don't know me, they think my mood is mean lol.

I will smile back to the happy people. To feel their warm heart, maybe some nice conversation will do.

I am trying to smile more. I have been doing live streaming and I get a lot of compliments on my smile. When I watch a stream back (which isn't very often) I see how bad I look when I am not smiling so I try to smile more often. But it's also healthier to be smiling all the time. If there is anything I need it's more GOOD health as I have too many BAD health issues.

Your dad sounds a lot like me. I almost always have a smile on my face. I also like to greet people I see in public with a robust "hi!". Lots of people respond right back with a greeting of their own, but a few people look at me like I've grown a third eye and don't know quite how to respond. When people are friendly back to me, it really kind of makes my day! Thanks for sharing this!
