I'm at the hospital killing time. Hubs is getting a routine colonoscopy. Today is my parents' wedding anniversary and wish they were here to celebrate. Today, New York City began the school year. Who would have thought I'd have a 3rd and 4th grader just last week? Hope your day is as sunny and beautiful as it is here.

@DianneN I was all the morning at the hospital because also my husband had some tests this morning. His heart needs attention from the cardiologist.

Time does fly! I'm in the waiting room now, waiting and waiting. The doctor told me to expect him ready for me. I still have another 30 minutes or so of waiting. Then out to our favorite "after colonoscopy restaurant" for serious replenishment. lol Enjoy your beautiful day and weather!!!

@TiarasOceanView For some reason, it's always mobbed. I think the customers have all just come out of a fast.

Thank you. They were very excited to begin their new year with their friends. I suppose different countries begin school at different times. Live and learn.

An important day for you. I am hoping that these pending hurricanes will allow me to even think of my birthday on September 13. The worst hurricane I have experienced came on September 12.

Thank you! We were to have had a second and fourth grader, but things suddenly changed last week. Actually, it could have been a 2nd and 5th grader or a 3rd and 5th grader. I'm so confused. Enjoy every moment with those babies of yours!!!!

Hope all goes well for your husband . . . Hubby went through that earlier in the summer as well. Awww, the kids look so grown up here . . .hope they have a wonderful school year (they are so lucky they still start in September!). It's cooled down here, relatively speaking, at least it's not triple digits anymore. Enjoy your beautiful day!!

@DianneN It was the first time Hubby did it . . . so we didn't know what to expect other than what he was told. Eek - yes he is glad to have it done and over with!!! It's cooler here, but we are still talkin' in the 90s.

They are so adorable and I love his hair. Here on the islands all boys have very long hair. At times the teachers at school complain of this to the parents. Here people don't care. If the child wants his hair long they leave it. I have seen some small boys here that have hair way down their backs. Then on the flip side there are kids that their dad shaves their head like a military cut and it looks so bad. I feel so sorry for them. I always said if I had a boy he could have his hair as long as he wanted. I think it looks so good. Both of my brother had long hair.

@DianneN I guess I am just opposite you. I think it looks cute on him. Plus it makes him happy. When he gets a bit older he will ask to have it cut himself. It normally is a phase small children go through.

I will say a prayer for your husband, today. The kids look very happy, starting school on their first day back!:)I always use those times waiting in the hospital, to leaf through a magazine. I seldom do this at any other time, but really love it!
