a beautiful mind

Various things have happened this week which have made me realise that my mental health and physical wellbeing are currently in a Good Place.
It's weird when that happens. Depression, melancholia, sadness, pain and anger all have a terrible habit of crashing uninvited into your life at unexpected times, but sometimes they tiptoe away so quietly that you don't even realise they've gone.
I ran down the stairs this morning. Whoa, girl! Slow down! Where has Pain gone? When did Fatigued Limbs and Heavy Muscles scarper to pastures new? I have smiled and laughed quite a lot this week, seeking people out rather than hiding in a corner. My house has been slightly unclean and possibly a little messy, but I didn't go batpoo crazy panicking about it. I feel tired, but not exhausted; just ordinary everyday normal tired.
I feel content and relaxed and it is a wonderful feeling. I don't know how long it will last. I could wake up tomorrow with aching limbs and/or the desire to curl up in a ball and cry, but likewise, this feeling could last for a couple of months. I have no way of knowing.
There's a part of me that wishes I hadn't stumbled upon the realisation that everything is hunky-dory. After all, ignorance is bliss and now I'm on high alert wondering when I'll come crashing down again. Oh, well.
Ain't Life grand?

@poppylicious I've had a bout of that recently too but I think it is starting to fade.

Oh. Maybe it's a virus. Wouldn't that be funny, a virus that makes everything hunky-dory.

@Poppylicious ... Don't give in to negative soul...hold it back like a fart you'd hold back in Church.

The negative soul inside me wants to say she'll give it just a week or two before everything starts feeling odd again, but the positive soul is telling her to shut up!

@Poppylicious Pondering batpoo might well detract from the beauty of your mind.

Now that you mention it, yes it is a bit odd. Why batpoo? I shall have to ponder that one.

I think it may be good you noticed the positive feelings as now you get to appreciate them.

This is true. I always notice the negative feelings and physical pain so it's only right that I should notice when I'm in a Good Place and be positive about it. :)

I know this well except mine only lasts a couple days tops. I wish too that I were not aware really.
I am happy to know you are tip top at the moment friend.
