Comfort is so important when you are disabled

Have been complaining about my commode seat since we moved in. nearly 2 years ago. It's not only low but hard old seat. was such a mess. and myself, it is hard to squat so had to hold on to sink and brace the seat and easy down. Well at times, if I was in a hurry as you get when older, I would plop down fast hurting my tush. 
Finally I ordered this soft seat. Had one before and remembered how nice it was. Now if I get in a hurry or need to sit a little longer, no problem. 
I nearly fell asleep on it last night when I had to go at around 3 am. 
Ever tried one? they are wonderful.

i ordered it from Walmart . com and it was only 10 bucks. well worth it. easy to install too. daughter did my last one and this one done installation was done by her bf

@bunnybon7 .....The home health occupational therapist had me try a huge toilet seat and I didn't care for it. Soft would be nice. This thing wasn't.

@celticeagle yes i don't think i would like that either. but the soft is well worth it and we kept the old seat to put back when we move. lol

The best toilet seat I have seen (and used) was in a hotel in Buenos Aires. The seat was higher than most of the ones here. And as I have trouble with my knees, I need a higher one.

I've had the luxury of sitting on one in my sons house but I don't have one here. Maybe I should consider getting one as I seem to frequent the bathroom more and more the older I get

@Courtlynn we live in a rented house and its so easy to install . we kept the old one to put back on when we move and take the soft one with.

I have been to people's homes that have these, and it is nice. Maybe this is something I should consider investing in in the future.

i too wish toilets were higher since we're tall. i did use a cushioned one in a clinic one time. i wondered though how you'd clean it.
