Hubby and I took a little nap

We lay back down for an hour, and now hubby says he feels like he is a lazy lump. I think it would be good for both of us to be able to be more relaxed. We need to live closer to nature and our natural body clocks. He is busy worrying about work, checking his assignments for next week. I am trying to decide whether to cook or clean first. This is a sunset photo from last year. One of the trees in it has been taken down because it broke in a storm. I love the way the light is in the evenings here.

This photo is fantastic. I thought it could be orange from a forest fire so I'm glad to read it was just the sunset. How long until your husband is able to retire?

Oh, he retired once and was bored to tears. We could both quit working if we wanted to seriously cut back on spending and traveling. Both of us are in positions that pay us more per hour than we ever have earned before.

@GardenGerty My morning has been spent cleaning house. Oh, the thrill of cleaning the bathroom. I am taking a break right now.

It's a shame when a tree is taken down, but if it becomes dangerous there is nothing else to do.

This one was very scraggly looking and then was split in a wind storm.

@GardenGerty We also had to take down a tree last summer, it bent on a side and it became dangerous.

It is good to relax. I have a problem that I always feel like I need to work so I can never fully relax haha

That is kind of the story of my life. It is hard to relax, and I almost never lay down and nap, although I sleep easily in the car.

@GardenGerty I can nap, but can never sleep at night because I am so active at night wanting to work on things haha

Love the green color of the tree in the forefront. It stands out against the mellow haze of the evening sun. Naps are good for one's well being. I don't take them often, and when I do, I feel guilty for doing so. We need to embrace them and include them in our daily routine.

@GardenGerty I sometimes sit for a few minutes when I get home and nod off. The nap is short lived with a 2 year old telling you to wake up. LOL

Since his stroke hubby has needed at least one nap most days, and hates it. I told him that if I were not working that would be what I would be supposed to do for the fibro, but like him, I hate the waste of time if I am already gone all day. It is fun and funny how that green of my cedar showed up. I do like this picture a lot.

Such a beautiful picture. Sometimes we all could use a nap here and there. I got 12 hours of sleep last night and still feel exhausted this morning like i could sleep longer.

I think it would be a good idea for both of you to relax more. You're so busy with work and even taking care of the errands you need to do. Naps are good. I love the picture.

I think we do a lot more running around than we should. Work should be plenty. Oh, and doctor appointments.

Love that picture, and yes naps can be good for you. I feel as you do if we were more with our body and in nature, I think people would be a lot happier and relaxed. We all are always feeling the push and rush of our work.

What a lovely picture. Too bad about the tree. Sometimes a nap makes people feel awful and other times it gives you that energized feeling. Kinda weird.
