It has been a horrific couple of months, is there any end in sight?

For me it is surreal. I've been keeping up with the news about all those hurricanes and boy am I glad I don't have to worry about anything like that. But to make matters worse the battle southeast TX had with Hurricane Harvey has become a terrifying battle against flesh eating bacteria.
How the heck do they battle that?
I am praying that they find a way to isolate and control that bacteria before it kills any more people and that now where else has that same problem.
I used my own photograph taken many years ago.

OH, I had not heard about this. Horrible! I have been working quite a bit lately and not paying any attention to the news. I am quite surprised that more people have not gotten this bacteria. With the flooding brings all of the septic/sewer materials and all of the bacteria. I hope people heed his warning.

@rebelann You would think that they would be all over it. Leave it to the media to botch it up.

I no longer trust all of the media @Shellyann36 I have noticed that if I look online for articles written in local papers it's more likely to get a true story, I mean who outside of a community would actually know what's really going on, right?

I don't follow news religiously but when I read about what's going on around the southeast and east coast on Mylot I started to look for articles and that's when read about that damn bacteria, the media hasn't even given it the kind of attention it should, this stuff is something a lot of people should be warned about.

I hope so too but I think a few people living in FL have mentioned that October is also a hurricane month.

I remember reading that as well but at the time I did not really pay that much attention to it because it was a rare and isolated occurrence @LadyDuck but now it seems it is attacking areas that are way too close to home. Thankfully those bacteria do not seem to live in dry deserts.

That's really awful. I don't read the news anymore because I'm sick and tired of all the bad news happening around the world. I hope they find a way out here and isolate the bacteria.

@rebelann I hope so. We don't want that spreading like a plague.

I think it would only be found in wet conditions so maybe it cannot @toniganzon

It didn't help that the mayor released all those gallons of water from the whatchacallits, that was probably the worst thing he could have done.

I hope they are ok as well. Maybe they're not in Houston right now, it sure as heck wouldn't be a place I'd want to be.
