I made some asparagus with homemade mayonaise.

I am tired and my whole body hurts. So I needed to pamper me a little.
I brought a kilo of fresh asparagus and boiled them. While they were cooking, I made some homemade mayo. So, now, as soon as they are not so hot, I´ll eat half the kilo.
I know it is too much. But I need it. And sweets won´t do.

@YrNemo I eat them sometimes with olive oil, salt and lemon juice as I dress artichokes.

@marguicha nothing! I munched on the first, tasted OK, so I add a bit of salt, it tasted better, in that manner, I finished everything in one go...

@marguicha It's a bit tricky to make, mayo is easier, but you should try.

I love asparagus but rarely have it as it's often very expensive here. I have never made homemade mayo, or eaten asparagus with mayo. I usually saute the asparagus in butter with garlic.

They are expensive here too. But yesterday, at the farmers market, I could get them at a good price.

I cook them and serve them woth mayo. I eat them with my hand. You can still reserve the broth and some asparagus for a soup or creme.

I have never eaten asparagus. I have heard about it. How does it taste? Does it taste good? In our place we don't get asparagus.
