There Was a Time When I Was the Queen of Multi-tasking!

It is close to 3:30 now and I am heading to the kitchen with my laptop. I have been binge watching season 1 of "This is Us." I am currently watching disc 4 of 5.
So, while I prepare the lasagna for tonight's dinner, I am going to watch the rest of disc 4, do the dishes, and maybe start organizing my cupboards.
This may seem like I bit off a bit more than I can chew. I will probably only get the lasagna and dishes done while watching the show. Little Miss is sleeping and I know she will be up and attum soon!
I was once the Queen of Multi-tasking. Now I am just a peasant.
How good are you at multi-tasking?

I just seemed to have lost my focus. I can do 2 tasks at a time though.

I wish I didn't have to do so many things at once.

I can walk and talk (usually) at the same time.

Yes, but can you chew gum at the same time?

@BarBaraPrz I have taken a chunk out of the side of my cheek when chewing and trying to talk. Ouch!

@sallypup it can be quite trying on the nerves. I now let things go if I don't feel up to doing them. I do have the right to sit and relax after work as well.

I have so much to do and nobody to help me do it. Therefore I am always trying to do more than one thing at a time.

Isn't that funny how that works? I had 4 children and I swear I grew an extra set of arms when I needed them.

@ElusiveButterfly Because we had no choice. We can usually do what we have to.

I was great at multitasking at work when I had to. Now, I suck at it. I lose track of what I was doing and don't get much done since I keep switching between tasks.

That is usually the problem I have. I should just start a task and finish it before moving on to the next.

I'm not very good at multi-tasking at all or ever...I like one chore at a time and I do usually celebrate each one when its over...

I have 3 hats that I am working on for my son and dil baby shower this month. Putting the finishing touches on each of them this week. Then I need to add a zipper to a baby sweater, and finish off a blanket that I crocheted. Never a dull moment for me.

@PainsOnSlate I would like to be able to just focus on one thing at a time. That would be lovely!

@ElusiveButterfly You are a much more busy woman than I am. When younger I was great on multi tasking, now I just do what I want to do...(kids are grown and on their own and no grands except the grand dogs.

@ElusiveButterfly there are times I can't do multitasking. That is when I have to write something important for my blogs or for my main writing site HubPages.

I used to be very good at this. I was taught to do so as a telephone operator.

I used to be pretty good at it. Lately, I seem to not be able to manage everything at once like I used to though. I think I am going soft.

As long as my multitasking is right here on the computer, I'm fine. I could not do several things at one time any more. I did once, but like you, I'm now a peasant.
