Do you dress your pet up in a costume for Halloween? Where do you buy the costume?
Halloween costumes for pets have become big business. It is estimated by the National Retail Federation that some 20 million pet owners will spend $350 million on costumes for their pets in a given year.
If you dress your pet up and have a photo it would be cool to see it in your response.

People do it although I would think pets do not like it. The ones who wear the costumes must have a very passive and cooperative disposition.

I think that is fun when people do that. I am not sure people's pets agree. I have learned German Shepherds will not let you dress them up period and my other one just wears a little sweater thing and that would be about the extent we could dress her up for Halloween.She only wears that when its cold or the fireworks are going off. I think the smaller type dogs only like that stuff, not the bigger ones.

@dgobucks226 Probably thought it was a punishment for bad behavior.

@dgobucks226 , I have no idea, when I saw Daisy was unhappy I immediately got rid of those mini antlers.

Seems like costumes are not so popular for pets as they are for adults and kids? Wonder why people think their pets enjoy it?

@dgobucks226 They wouldn't have bitten me, but they were big dogs - a border collie and a pit/lab mix. Not the tiny dogs that would be easier to get a costume on.

@just4him That's for sure
I am sure they would be giving you the "what are you trying to do to me stare?"

I never tried it - though sometimes I will try to balance a little pirate hat (it's actually a hair clip of mine) on the cat's head, which she hates. lol. A So I don't keep it up too long.

Yes, I would think a cat would not tolerate anything on its head. A dog possibly. My sister put antlers on her dog's head for Christmas without any problems.

@dgobucks226 That's funny. I wonder if it's to do with the breed of animal, maybe some are less fussy about that

@FayeHazel I bet there is some truth to that! I've seen big dogs like my sisters with costumes and little dogs too.

Some people are a bit crazy with their pets! Not that there is anything wrong with that!
