I remember the time when I used to have things like ring dings, twinkies, and such sitting in the middle of my kitchen table. Not so anymore, I now keep those things stored in a cabinet so I don't see them. That way I am not tempted to eat them. Now I have a beautiful display of various fruit in a glass plate sitting there. I arrange and rearrange the fruit to look inviting I have been doing very well withy my new eating plan. I don't want to call it a diet anymore. I like the idea of it being a new eating plan. I am not craving the sugar or salt the way I did before I started changing my eating habits. Food seems to taste better now. I am so glad I read about the Whole30 diet here on @just4him post.

Changing eating habit is a good thing and must never be seen as a "diet" or deprivation. I love fruits more than vegetables, I am lucky because I never liked sodas or junk food.

@HazySue I do not care for salty, I like some cakes and dark chocolate. Too sweet is not my thing.

I loved salty and sweet. Now I don't miss it at all.

I'm feeling the same way. I have no cravings. My eating is much better than it ever was, and I just finished a spaghetti squash that was delicious and yes, looked like a plate of spaghetti, but tastes much better.

@HazySue You're welcome. I bought two spaghetti squash this morning so I can have spaghetti with it, as well as experimenting with other pasta type foods. Yes, it does taste better.

I love spaghetti squash with spaghetti sauce. It is so good. Food tastes better since I have been following this diet. Thanks for introducing me to it.

I changed my eating habits over the summer, with lots of salads and fruit. Now that it’s cooler I notice I’m reverting to my old ways (and pounds). It’s never easy. Someone needs to grow broccoli that tastes like a Ho-Ho! Good luck in your endeavors.

I have tried different ways of fixing my veggies that are palatable to me. There are hundreds of recipes online.

I rarely have sweets in the house so I can't indulge even if I'd like to. I'm glad your eating plan is working out.

My hubby still eats the occasional sweet but they no longer entice me.

I am the same way. My eating habits have been different for about a year. I would rather have fresh fruit and veggies than anything else.

Good for you. I just looked at it and I am not sure it is for me. There are things I gave up and things not ready to give up yet.

@HazySue Susan, Diets are not the answer for me. I am a former overeaters anonymous person and know what I have to do. I have given up some things but there are things I still cannot give up.

We always try to have healthy and balanced meals here. We buy certain fruits depend on the season.
