Three hours yard work, not a favorite thing.

All I was going to do was mow, about 45 minutes total. Then I saw the two bedraggled tomato vines that needed to come out, so I did that. Anne was out there too and wanted to pull out our exhausted strawberry plants in a planter box which produced very poorly this year. "Okay, I'll help"....Eeyore's voice.
That turned into quite a job with so many roots, then she said, "Maybe we should get rid of the dirt in the planter."
(Me) Ummm, okay."
So, she brought buckets, I got a shovel and filled four 5 gallon ones. Then I had to take all the grass, tomato plants, and strawberry plants without the dirt to the big dumpster we use for yard stuff.
Finally, through at 1 PM and she made me a big ham sandwich while I was in the shower. I definitely got my exercise today.

Yes, it does. and I am feeling well still too, so no harm done. I might fall asleep watching TV though.

@JamesHxstatic Most times after Vince plays his 9 holes of golf he falls asleep halfway through the news!

When you've finished I could use some more help picking up those blasted black walnuts that keep hammering g down on our roof and littering our lawn....enough already.

@JamesHxstatic the amount we have....you are welcome to collect all that you want. I'm so done....hubby says we wil NEVER plant any kind of nut tree...between the walnuts...the hickory nuts, the chestnuts on the farm and the acorns....we have been bombarded by the messy things.

@Morleyhunt Well...nuts to all those nuts then for you. That would get tiresome.

@JamesHxstatic I will check tomorrow if I missed something, but I think that for this year the garden does not need more work.

Unless there was a Gator football game on, I never minded spending an entire day out working in the yard.

@JamesHxstatic Of course I have books to read! After I get the yard all tidied up, I can shower and clean up and then lay out in the hammock and read a book and enjoy my immaculate yard! lol

A garden does take up a lot of time but the results are worth it...And the ham sandwich must have been good

You did get a workout. Its nice, though, to share the garden with your mate. This coming weekend looks to be our final mild one. I should put in more than 3 hours out and about, messing with black tomato vines and doing some digging up. Kind of what you did plus we must get the hens situated for the winter. Like you said, on and on....

It sounds like a simple mowing job turned into a big project. I can say you certainly did get exercise with all that to do. I bet a nap after eating and the shower would sound good.
