Hey everyone I hope your doing well today. =)
This is day 9 of the Thanksgiving/Grateful challenge. Today I am so very grateful for the freedom of being able to Home School my children. It is one of the best decisions I have ever made in my life. They learn so much each day, it's amazing!
They learn book work/online learning as well as every day skills they will need to know for the rest of their lives.
What are you grateful for today?
The picture is of my children with their cousins

I am grateful for the education I got when I was younger. I will say if I had to do it over again, I should have home schooled my two kids especially my older one. I do think home schooling is a good thing.

@Leapea2417 I'm very grateful this is the route I took. It has been amazing for all of us, especially seeing how much they grow each year in studies and all areas. =)

Love the picture. I sure miss having kids around. I'm grateful that I have a supportive family and we all take care of each other and pitch in when we need to. Not everyone has a good family like I do.
I think it's wonderful you can home school your children!

That is so sweet! If I ever have kids I do want to homeschool them. I wanted to be homeschooled but my mom did not have the patience for it.

@Desirousdreamer I hear a lot of parents say they don't have the patience for it but at least now with technology we have it doesn't take a lot of patience.

Some of my grandchildren are home-schooled and it's been a wonderful experience for them. Great picture of the kids all looking so intent on their work

That is great that you are so happy with their homeschooling experience. From what I've seen around here, very few people actually do it well. . . especially when it gets to middle and high school. When parents yank their kids out of school and say they are going to "home school" them, it is because their lazy kids can't be bothered to wake up, do assignments, etc. It is just an excuse and those entitled teenagers wind up learning absolutely nothing. Mommy and Daddy will wind up supporting them for the rest of their lives.

@NJChicaa I have Home Schooled from the start so that's the difference. Not only that my children have no time to be lazy since that is not acceptable here. They work hard on school work, chores, and helping others-whether it be us, siblings or someone outside of our home.

Look at those studious children, so into what they're doing! Their attention is captivated, by their studies:)
I'm grateful for parents, who don't send their kids into the public school system!

@LovingMyBabies My kids weren't serious about school work, they wanted to have fun with their friends, instead:( They were very immature, didn't realize the value of learning.

Today I'm thankful that our daughter and her son who moved to Maine are getting to spend a couple of days together. She had to go to Boston for a work conference, so I hope they'll enjoy their visit.
I think your kids are blessed to be home schooled.
