Leaving Milestone Credit Card

So I am going to have to stop paying on my Milestone credit card because they raised the minimum payment for no reason and there is no customer service live person. I heard a lot of people have stopped paying them and I am about to also. My minimum payment for a $300 CL is $40 a month. Like really. My CreditOne is better than that. I have $300 there and my minimum payment is only $25 but I pay $50 or more when I can. CO does higher CL's and MS don't. They don't even have a live person where CO does. I am to give up on MS and stick with CO.

Not paying for the things you got on credit is no less than stealing. You should be a woman and pay off that credit card, you made the bill and are responsible for it.

Agree 100%. Why buy on credit if you can't afford to pay even the minimum payment? That is just asking for trouble.

You can't just stop paying your credit card. It doesn't work that way.

@carebear29 In the meantime, STOP using the credit cards and start paying cash for things. If you can't afford them, then don't buy them.

That stinks they are raising your rate but your still obligated to pay it. Pay off what you owe then cancel the card. I do not own credit cards if I don't have the money in my bank account to buy something then I sav my money until I can pay for it. To many people gave major credit card debt.

I'd bet my life that is NOT what she means to do. If she can't afford the minimum payment, she can't afford to pay it off.

Are you going to transfer the balance from that Milestone card to a card with a lower rate and better benefits?

Ages ago I always had trouble with credit cards. Now I only use debit cards and just purchase with the money I have.

I wouldn't do that. It could potentially raise the interest of your minimum payment on a different credit card not to mention racking up huge interest. Pay the minimum payment, just don't use it to buy anything else.

Instead of not paying and ruining your credit why not transfer that balance to another card?

It sounds like you could be in for a world of hurt if you don't pay something.

You know that's theft and technically you can go to jail or get in trouble for that..if you can't pay your credit card bill you shouldn't have credit cards.
