Mom passed away around 12:20 pm PST today...

My brother and I were in the other room talking, and the caregiver said, "She's gone."
My brother and I went in, and sure enough, she was gone.
The social worker showed up not long after and made arrangements for someone to come get her, and said Hospice will come get the bed and stuff tomorrow.
I hoped I wouldn't, but I cried when they took Mom out the door. 
Right now it's just my brother and I, and I guess we'll take it one day at a time after this.

Thank you, @Kandase . I had hoped so too -- but in the back of my mind I think I knew with stage 4 lung cancer that was not likely to happen.

I am so sorry. It's hard to let go of someone we love so dearly. It'll take time to adjust to the thought of our loved ones being gone.

I am so sorry to hear such sad news. I went through the same thing last year and it's difficult. I hope you and your brother lean on each other during this time and keep your mom close to your heart.

There is nothing more heart-wrenching then losing your Mom @xstitcher . I am so sorry. All of my Mom's organs had cancer, so I can relate. The only consolation is that she is no longer in pain.
