Not Feeling Well

Somebody gave me their cold. I don't know who, but somebody must have given it to me, because now I have it. I was just getting over another one from last week and had started to feel better. Then on Tuesday, my sister and I went out for a bit and ate ice cream outside in the cold (we live in California, so it's not exactly freezing out, even in November.) I felt fine then. Once I returned home that evening, I laid down on the couch for a bit and had a little nap. When I woke up a couple hours later, I was sick. I was hoping that I would be feeling better by now, but nope. If anything I keep feeling worse. My head feels all fuzzy and I can hardly think. My nose keeps running and my sinuses keep burning like I constantly have to sneeze. My throat hurts a little, too. Ugh. Just what I need! Maybe if I'm lucky, the worst of it will be over once I wake up tomorrow. I am supposed to go out Christmas shopping with my sister on Sunday, but if I'm still feeling like crap warmed over then, I guess I'll have to call it off. I already feel bad because I was supposed to go over on Thursday and help her decorate, but I didn't feel well enough to go anywhere, and then I flaked out again yesterday too. At least she's understanding about it. Probably doesn't want to catch this cold, either! Anyway, I think I'm going to try to play the Sims for a little bit and then head to bed. Or maybe I'll skip the Sims and just go to bed. When I get to feeling like this, the only thing I can really do is sleep through it.

I really hate that feeling. I also hate when starting to feeling better and then again feel not so good.

I hate that too. I have been experiencing that recently (feeling better one day and then feeling sick again the next.)

Thank you. Yeah, she's understanding. I just feel bad having to cancel our plans over and over again.

I am sorry someone passed a cold to you. It's so bad to have a cold, the head hurts, the nose runs. Try to rest and stay warm.

@Srbageldog Drink hot tea with a teaspoon of honey, this should help to feel better soon.

Thank you. I have slept most the day and am now feeling a tiny bit better, although not much. I cannot take cold medicine for it either, which makes it worse. The cold medicine interacts with my prescription meds. So I just have to ride it out.

Thank you. I know several people who are sick right now, all spread across the country. So it really must be going around.

Seems like many people get sick around this time of year. With the holiday season now you can come in contact with more people and become more susceptible to germs.

Yes, I was thinking I must have come into contact with someone's germs when I was out shopping on Tuesday. There's more people in the stores touching everything.

@Srbageldog Yes, people's hands really spread the germs. I know they have those hand cleaners outside the stores now when you shop. It seems I am always washing my hands.

Sorry you're not well. I usually just hibernate when I'm sick but it's difficult when there is stuff you'd like to be doing.

It's best you rest up and kick this thing rather than suffer and make it worse.

Yes, I will just try to sleep it off. Hopefully I'll feel better after the weekend has passed.

Yes you are right. But I do workout everyday and so I don't feel sick so often.

I get sick very easily. Probably because I don't go out around people too often.
