....The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame called and said, "Hey, you're a Hall of Famer."
That finally happened today for the Moody Blues.
Probably THE most overlooked superstar group since the mistake by the lake began inducting people, the Moody Blues are members of the "Class of 2018" induction class into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
Joining them will be the shoo-in for this year, Bon Jovi, along with Dire Straits (yay!), the Cars, Nina Simone, and Sister Rosetta Tharpe (inducted as an "early influence," a group that includes people as diverse as Jimmie Rodgers, Bill Monroe, and Robert Johnson).
Congrats to all...but especially the Moodies.
(PS -- I'm not really that big a Moody Blues fan!)
My favorite Moody Blues song:
Moody Blues - Question Moody Blues - Question Moody Blues - Question Moody Blues - Question Why do we never get an answer When were knocking at the door? Wit...

That is great news. I like many of The Moody Blues songs. One of my favorites is this one.

Finally the Moodies. I get Bon Jovi is popular and sold a ton of records but not artistically important or innovative. Dire Straits and the Cars finally. I have major issue with that "rocker" Nina Simone who is a jazz/soul singer who has no no place in this HOF. Ditto the gospel singer I never heard. Those two were political inductees plain and simple.

Quite a nice class of Hall of Famers for this year. The Moodies being particularly deserving after many years being snubbed. No more "Watching and Waiting" anymore. P.S. Happily surprised they also inducted The Cars.

Good for them. They had so much talent on their albums, but the sound wasn't as good live.
