WHEN YOU SPELL STRESSED BACKWARDS.

When you spell stressed backwards what do you get ? -- desserts. Someone sent this to me by whatsApp message, and I find it interesting when one considers just how many people reach for snacks or indulge in decadent desserts when they are feeling stressed. Stressed or not - from Christmas Eve to New Year's day, I will indulge myself with a few treats which I have abstained from all year. These include - milkshakes - (haven't had one in at least three years) ,ice-cream, my favorite chocolates and cookies - and I would definitely add a few Dunkin Donuts if I could find that brand here. What special treat have you not tasted for a long while? -and how do you de-stress yourself?

Desserts are the perfect cure for stress. Something I wait to eat for Christmas is an orange white chocolate mousse.

That sounds yummy - and it is not like you have it everyday or every month.

I know there are many who will feel that way- with all the rushing around trying to get everything just right for the holidays.

I sit with a cup of coffee and just breath and I eat treats all the time in small portions so I really can't think of anything except perhaps some of the treats my mom use to bake and the coffee walnut cake in England that I love so much.

That sounds great - I had to look up "gammon " and found that it is the hind leg of pork after it has been cured.

@Kandae11 Yes, it is quite expensive so I don't buy it very often. If I leave it unopened I can leave it unopened (duh) but once I open it they'll all be gone in a couple of days. While it sits there I can anticipate how nice they're going to be. People are funny, aren't they? Or is it just me?

That is very interesting that stressed spelled backwards is desserts. Makes sense to me. I guess you could say I wait a whole year to have a jelly donut and they are so so good and worth the wait.

I am growing closer in my walk with God so I haven't felt stressed in a little while now and it feels amazing! As for desserts...I'm not much for them, but I do love butter pecan ice cream and I haven't had that in a long time.

A lot of the time I shake off excess stress by coming on myLot and talking with my friends. I don't know of any better way to do that... I LOVE homemade bread but my doctor told me to quit making it every day or two because it was going to kill me. I did stop making it... until a few weeks ago. But I only made one batch of rolls and we ate those so slowly that about half of them started growing mold. I threw them out.

What do you put in yours? mine would never kill me - it is made with all the healthy stuff. Bread has been the staple diet of humans for thousands of years.

It's been four months since I had any desserts, and will be longer, but I don't mind. I de-stress by writing. It has always been a way to calm down and make me feel better.

I know that you really love to write - and you're good at it too. About the desserts - when you see the results of your efforts - that along with your own determination would help you to pass on those desserts.
