Do You Ever Go Christmas Caroling?

Got an email that says December 20th is Go Caroling Day. I love this holiday tradition. But the closest I've ever come to participating in the singing is watching it on television in a movie. We know one of the most famous scenes of carolers, don't we? Yep. The scene where Scrooge chases the carolers away from his place of business. ~ Have you ever gone Christmas caroling? ~ If you have or you have not, is there a particular Christmas carol you would just have to sing? My song would probably be “Hark the Herald Angels Sing” because I remember when the Peanuts sang it in the Charlie Brown Christmas Special. Happy Caroling!
The stories and history behind some of the most popular and traditional Christmas Carols.

@changjiangzhibin89 - OK. Appreciate the comment. Not being nosy. Just curious. Were both of your parents believers? And how were they able to be? I thought it was against the law in China; especially during the time of your parents.

I only went carolling once when we took a busload of kids with their instruments on the back of a truck and went round some nearby streets playing carols.

We used to go caroling in a church group when I was a child. I remember a bunch of us from church would pile into a van and spend an entire evening going house to house.

It has been many years since I last went Christmas caroling. In high school my church youth group would carol at retirement homes. My French class would go through neighborhoods singing carols in French. When my sons were Cub Scouts we'd take them to nursing homes to sing for the residents.

I like the idea of visiting the retirement and nursing homes and also of singing carols in French.

We do not have the tradition to go Christmas Caroling, so I never did. We listen to carols at home, if we like.
