What did you have for dinner tonight?

My young neighbor friend was visiting me this evening. But that didn't stop me from achieving my goal. I had been grazing for days, due to being busy, so tonight I had steak, mashed potatoes, and hearts of palm smothered with blue cheese dressing for dinner.
I offered some to my friend and his mom, but she had other dinner plans for the two of them. Buwaahaahaa, more for me. My beverages of choice were Gatorade and a couple of shots of Scotch (not mixed). My friend practiced long-jumping while I cooked the steak on the grill outside.

I had sweet peas and a large mixed salad and for dessert I had the best ever, a whole Hersey`s chocolate bar. Virgin diet coke as a drink.
I have never tried heearts of palm, how do you cook those? are they fresh or canned?

what a humorous way to describe the marinating process. How do you like your steak done?
If I was marinating pork, would that be still oinking?
