I Just Want Out Of The Car!

Apparently, I have trouble opening the door and stepping out of my car, because I constantly forget to take off my seat belt.
I pick up my purse, dog leash, bags and sometimes a drink, then I'm ready, let's do this, but when I try to leave, there is a barrier in place that will keep me from exiting the vehicle.
I must put everything back where I picked it up from, take off the seat belt, and start again.
Does this ever happen to you?

I'm sure that's why I do it, because my mind is already on what I need to do once I'm in the house.

Picturing this makes me laugh so hard. I think in the 10 years I've been driving its happened once or twice but sounds like you do it often

Once in a while maybe,,,but I am not a seatbelt fan so it is usually the fist thing I do when I get somewhere is unbuckle myself.

I'm not a seat belt fan either, so I would think I would remember right off. The good news is that once I do it, then I'll be careful for awhile until it slips my mind again.

It's a nuisance, and really if that's all I have to gripe about I must be doing good. I'm glad it doesn't happen to you.

Since I do not have seatbelts in my scooter or a car anymore no it does not happen. Just when I have the plastic on for winter and my foot gets caught then I fall out of the scooter instead of getting out the normal way. That is can a problem if you are still strapped into your seat belt. At least you know it works.
