New Year Fire Works .... not the professional ones

A view of the rock formation we call the mammoth with clouds, it was early morning when I took this years ago, it's another 35mm film shot.

And here we go, my idiot neighbors are determined to scare the bagezzas outta all the neighborhood kritters and anyone suffering PTSD. I'd love to get hold of all those fireworks and set them off in their living rooms while they're in their kitchens (hey, I don't wanna hurt anyone) if that don't scare em nothin will. As so whether I like it or not I'll be awake longer than expected. Damn those fools. Ok, it's 5 hours or so til midnight so I'm in for a long night and the only ones afraid of all this banging are mom's oldsters. I think I feel sorry for myself What's going on where you're at?

I'm shocked that my redneck neighbors haven't been setting illegal fireworks off. They LOVE to do that all summer long. I guess the 9 degree F temperature outside is discouraging them tonight.

We’ve had a couple of boomers go off already, and that was before 10 PM local time.

It's almost 7pm here, and already I'm hearing it out there too . . . it's not super close, but I know it's coming from the neighborhood somewhere. I just know the big ones are going to be saved for midnight . Happy New Year to you and all the kritters!

@rebelann We actually stayed up . .. yep, the fireworks were on full blast (I still don't understand how people can get away with it as they are illegal here). They probably went on beyond that time, but we were so exhausted it just went right to .

@rebelann Right? And I thought this was one of the very reasons why they were made illegal in the first place! Oh those fires . . . all it takes is one little spark . . . they have not learned!!!!

Yes, it has been quiet for almost an hour now so I know I'll be in for an awakening at 12, not even looking forward to that ..... looks like I won't be going to bed early

We saw a few fireworks on the beach across the other side of the Intercostal. Thankfully, the sound was muffled.

I'll bet it's illegal there too. I wish everyone who buys fireworks had to register where they lived and where they planned on popping the stupid things off, it might work to stop the illegal firing off of fireworks.

They do it usually about 3 or 4 times a year but even so fireworks can be dangerous if a person does not know what they are doing, too often it's youngsters who set them off and some of them are injured.

@rebelann They did the same thing in our apartments, which surpised me, because it was 20 degrees out there. I like to hear fireworks, but Dodger hates it and barks a great deal, and that's annoying.
