Yesterday is so last year!

Though we stayed home last night, we did venture out on that dry, but cold 30 degree afternoon. We thought the fog that hung around all day might make the nearby Delta Ponds interesting.
So, dressed warmly, we took cameras and drove over there. There were a number of Canada Geese and Mallard pairs paddling around the placid waters and some Bufflehead ducks and Wood Ducks, but none close enough for photos.
Then, since Barnes & Noble was just down the street, we stopped in for coffee to warm up. The cheesecake by Cheesecake Factory, proved too tempting, especially with my (temporary) employee discount.
We spent about an hour there, bought two (more) books and came home.
That was last year though, so new times beckon for 2018.

Oh, that would be pretty warm then. Cold for us but warmer than most of the US

@JamesHxstatic oh! ok, i misread. saw the bookstore part, then saw the cheesecake part.... Now I understand! My husband had a job at a bookstore for awhile a few years ago. And yes, he is an avid book lover, but he did NOT like working at the bookstore.

Oh, I don't. I took a seasonal job at Barnes and Noble as a cashier and they serve Cheesecake Factory products in their coffee shop, great cookies too! I have one more day, tomorrow for four hours and then I am through. It is not something I would do again, but the discounts on books is great!

Wow! Minus 30 degrees! My teeth are chattering now.There were varieties of waterfowl in the Delta Ponds,which must have made you forget the cold.
