So how much can you, and mylot, earn on mylot?

The saying goes that 'If it’s free online then you are the product'. I feel like a product on Mylot.lol. But how much can you earn on mylot, and, more importantly, how much are they earning of us? Like most people earning online I hammer the survey sites and lucky enough to arrive at the peak of the opinion and review sites in the middle of the last decade and did very well out of them for ten years or so. In the glory days I was pulling in $75 a month on dooyoo.co.uk and similar on ciao.co.uk for writing film and product reviews. You could write on just about anything you so chose and they would pay you royalties and stuff and it was great fun. I really miss it. If you were hardcore and cheated a bit you could make $200 per month combined. Sadly dooyoo passed away last year and ciao have just stopped paying for good just before Christmas, meaning I have to do even more boring surveys sites and seek out new places to make money to recover that loss. We on ciao and dooyoo have known about mylot for its 13-year lifetime and had no real reason to come here. Well now some of us are here and so we have to figure out what it’s worth to us. I’m opinionated and like writing about politics and stuff and so this place good fun for filling in the spare time I was writing those product reviews in, but for a 50 cent rant here and some member banter I am filling the gaps. Sadly the best method to make money here, stirring up debate and conversation on the more abrasive topics, is what will get you chucked. I doubt whether I will last much longer as I tend to say it like it is. Mylot is valued around $220 grand, if they were to sell the website. Surver space isn’t cheap and nor are the required techies to keep websites going and so more costs on top. I have no idea where Mylot’s server is based but I guess the Head Office is back in Kansas where it originally was after Mylot’s re-launch. The fact Germany generates the most traffic would suggest it’s routed through there at some point. Remember that traffic is not just the members. ===Mylot traffic=== (Approx) Germany 36% USA/France and Italy all 12% Others 10% Spain, GB and Holland 5% It makes around $190 a day so around $5700 a month, and that’s about $70 grand a year, mostly from advertising. Most members here are lucky to get $5 a month but most don’t care as it really is a social media site. I am impressed the site is not swamped with banner adverts though and it is smooth to use. I do know before its re-launch it was overrun with adverts and so hard work and so needed a reboot. I guess its click traffic to various websites through key words and search engine positioning that’s the key earner here for mylot. When it all breaks down we are mining advert clicks on adverts we never see and not really being paid for our words. It claims 60,000 unique viewers a day, which is impressive, and 98,000 daily page views, which is good. To put it in context a YouTube Video that gets one million hits earns around 10k so 1000 views is not much at all. The average time spent on the site by members is 1.5 hours, which is very high but for very little cash. It’s clearly a big part of some people’s lives so not to care.

I have no faith in Alexa what so ever, there is no way most traffic comes from Germany, the Philippines I might believe but certainly, most members are in the US. If a site doesn't join Alexa the info is garbage. I used to write on Helium and Examiner and Associated Content. At its peak, I was earning as high as $1000 a month with over $100 from residual income. I did a lot of client work and still do for other sites. Panda killed the writing sites that is for sure.

I miss Bubblews. Right before the price paid dropped to mere cents and then they closed down, I made 500 dollars a month. It was an amazing site. I like this site also, but you are such the bad boy rebel of MyLot. It's bound to happen on any site, and if we were in a software program, you would be created to balance out the coding.

@Courtlynn I felt like I went through a divorce when we lost the money and the site. I never went through a divorce, but I assume it hurts that bad. I still miss it.

I have always been surprised by the results displayed by Alexa for myLot : actually 33.8% of the traffic is supposed to come from Germany, and 34.3% of visitors are sent to myLot by piet2eix3l.com which is a site sending mainly to malware and used by several ransomwares. Both of these affirmations are pure nonsense. Wait... "This site's metrics are estimated". An estimation giving these results does not encourage to subscribe to their "advanced plan."

piet2eix3l.com could well take most traffic, good and bad. Not that many cables that move data under the oceans so share and share alike.

Don't really care much how mylot earns from us or how much it is earning per day. I used to earn a dollar or more a day here in mylot. But it was because I was having too much fun and a lot of interactions from many members back then. I just hope mylot won't disappear.

Mylot makes $190 a day? I hope mylot becomes more popular worldwide to ensure it will not close like other sites

This is interesting, I am surprised by the Alexa results. Most users of this site are from the United States, Philippines and India. I wonder why Germany seems to be the country that generates more traffic.

Are there any sites now where we can earn even 1 dollar a day? I'd jump into the wagon.

I like Mylot a lot, we are paid because the site gets revenue and that is fair.
