If it is really 'common sense' then why does it seem to be so uncommon these days?

Or am I just a grouchy old fart? Or is it both? I don't know. Being online sometimes just flabbergasts me. It's almost like I can feel my IQ points rapidly dropping some days. And you know what really scares me? I'm afraid one of these days it will reach into the negatives. Sometimes I toss my hands in the air like I just don't care. Other days I bang my head on the desk. On really bad days I do both at the same time. I bet that looks pretty funny to Scar. Okay folks, move along, nothing to see here, just a raving lunatic

Common sense....is not common. If it was they would not need to warn on the outside of a take out coffee cup...warning...contents may be hot! Seriously...if I wanted cold coffee...I wouldn't be ordering a hot one...

Like this 'Tide Pod Challenge' thing...it plainly says on the container if it gets in your mouth to call the poison control center immediately. Yet people are posting videos of them eating them, allegedly.
Video site working to combat what officials describe as a spike in teens purposely ingesting laundry detergent packets.

And then people sue companies who make these products because they didn't warn them which makes me wonder how the hell the dingbat who got burned from a hot cup of coffee that spilled on her won her case against McD.

I would love to see Scar looking at you. Common sense is becoming extinct, same as good manners and tolerance.

A lot didn't pack their common sense with their user id associated with themselves here. Maybe they want a "break" from using it, or maybe they don't have any at all......

If there was common sense for most of the people, the world would be a much better place.

Things appear to get a bit more senseless each year...like the world is 'dumbing down' or something

Nothing phases me anymore. I blame it on the cell phones with the internet. They have no reason to step into reality.

Well, you're a grouchy old fart, but that's beside the point. The cause is most likely a lack of common sense in people you interact with. I'm with ya. I don't know why, but sometimes I intentionally visit flat earth pages on facebook, or those silly ultra conservative pages. I try not to stay so long, I don't want to catch it.

Flat-earthers must not believe in love, because love makes the world go 'round, and they think it's flat

You can't have common sense, that gives you an unfair intellectual advantage over someone else. (Guess enough people have bought into that....)

Maybe if I go to the garbage dump I can find some that didn't get damaged too bad and give it to people that need it

Its a dwindling population of people with sound judgment these days. If common sense is common, then people wouldn't make the kind of decisions they do everyday, we wouldn't have those issues we have today and most of all we shouldn't have to explain the simplest and most obvious things. And the world would have been a much better place.... really....

Common sense is like a deodorant. The people who need it most never use it. Hahaha!

Scar will not find it funny, even I too do not find funny. Just a simple thing we all have, you gave a positive comic way to describe.

I know exactly what you mean, sometimes the stupidity of people make my stomach hurt with frustration. I know I'm not the brightest spark but I know that the UK Prime Minister isn't Liam Gallagher (yes that is something I saw someone ask). Sometimes I just scroll on, I can't comment or even look at it again lol

Common sense is not common at all. One of my favorite "lack of common sense" online celebrities is the model who lost her leg from toxic shock syndrome, because "nobody ever warned her" that was a thing. Even though all tampon boxes come with a written warning right inside the box. Common sense says to read the warning on the insert before putting anything up inside you... but apparently if you choose to just chuck the warning aside and disregard all the print on the box saying not to leave the darn things in for more than 8 hours, you can sue the company for not "warning" you that you could get TSS from it.

It seems that common-sense-free-thinker isn't as common as it used to be. And these days, group-think is always taken by meltdown shock by any new example of common sense. I hope you are having a good day today. :-)

The local Tim Hortons in Fort Erie there is a drive thru and the front door is in the path of the drive thru lane, People walk right in front of your vehicle when you start hitting the gas peddle and they dont walk in front when your waiting for your coffee and or donut
