Although I did say I had given up I gave it another try later in the night around 8 pm and there it was in all its glory. I was able to see it right from my house and this was captured from the terrace. My camera did not pick up what my eyes could but nevertheless I was happy I could capture the moon partially eclipsed. Did you get to see it too?

There was quite a struggle though. I must have climbed up the terrace ateast six times and taken quite a few useless shots (lol)

@JudyEv I do not blame scientists as India being such a big country there certainly would be time differences. They had said it would be between 6.30 to 7 but I got a great view at around 8

@allknowing We parked up on the road for at least a few hours too. I ended up napping on and off. It was like watching paint dry.

It was not to be where I am, it turns out that the eclipse happened while the moon was setting and I don't have a clear view of the western horizon.

Even here wrong timings were suggested that put me into a lot work - going out every minute to see and finally I did.

There was nothing here to see unless it was during the time we were in church, but I was hearing we would not be able to see anything

I did not get to see it. My timing was all wrong, I guess. I love your photo, though.

Even here they had given us wrong timings but when I saw on tv that they had spotted it in Mumbai much later I grabbed my camera and went up the terrace and there it was waiting for me.

I was at it at the timings suggested but the sky was still blue all what I could get was that bird. I have written a post earlier to this But when I saw on tv that people were seeing it much later I gave it a try.

I didn’t get to see it. I wasn’t paying too much attention. And I had other things going on.

That is a nice shot of the moon. Cool. I haven't seen an eclipse in a long time.
