The moon and its eclipse from Western Australia

We parked down the road a bit so that we’d have a clear view of the moon last night. But this photo of the moon framed by the trees looks the best of our images. Vince was disappointed with his shots but his camera isn’t designed for such work really. But we did have a great view of it although I thought it might have been redder than it actually appeared. It could hardly be called ‘blood red’. So that’s that for the moment. Later today we have an appointment with our accountant and we’re catching two movies from the Summer Film Festival series. They’re only shown on certain days and if we want to see most of them we need to see two today. Edit 2 February: Sorry folks. I used a photo showing two moons, one of which was a 'refraction down the lens' apparently. I've replaced it now.

Great photo! We are not in the right part of the world to see the eclipse but we did get a beautiful full moon which the girls and I looked at with binoculars.

Nice photo we could not see the moon because of cloud coverage... funny that really... and annoying we rarely get rain and on the day of the 'special moon' it rainded and we had heavy dark clouds all day and night...

We had a cloudless sky so were very lucky in that respect. You'd think when it is so important that the clouds and rain could stay away for a few hours.

I didn't notice it but I've fixed it now. Vince says it was refraction in the lens and rapped my knuckles for putting up the wrong one.

blood moon
Here is a picture on my side of world. We just have to look up after getting out of the door since our door faces east already. I am just using my phone camera here and cannot be zoom too much.

I thought the view of the moon last night was absolutely amazing, although I agree with you it wasn't quite as red as blood moon would imply. But anytime there's a full moon in the sky and you have a clear night to watch it, it is beautiful! I love full moons!
