While I was answering some discussions here I received a call saying that one of the mare on the farm is ready for her delivery. That means, I need to attend her. Normally deliveries what we call as foalings occur during late nights but this one was bit earlier making things easier for me in this cold.
The mare has given birth to a female baby which is fine and fit. Having given all the required treatment to the mother and baby I returned back to post here.
This is seventh baby of this season and fifty nine more deliveries are to go yet till June! Every foal added gives immense pleasure and satisfaction to me as a Stud Vet and I really enjoy every addition of foal to the farm.
Taken a picture of mother and daughter lets see how it has come!

Don't foals have long, long legs? We used to breed a lot of horses on our farm when I was young and they were almost all born during the night. But in those days they foaled in the paddock. Is it a thoroughbred stud? Just read the rest of the comments so now I know they're thoroughbreds.

Nice to know you people were involved in breeding horses dear @JudyEv ! Yes they are the Thoroughbreds we breed.Since it is a commercial venture we take all the needed precautions to ensure a safety arrival of the foal so the mare is taken in during the night time to the foaling box , where they foal under the supervision! Thanks!

Thanks dear @RitzzView ! In a stud farm getting a baby successfully treated as a great achievement as these babies are our products and they are future racing horses in various Racing centers in the Country and accross the World if they have that class! Thanks!

Thanks a lot dear @BarBaraPrz it was indeed a one of the happy moments of my life to get this baby into this World without facing any complications! Foaling is always a nightmare for a Stud Vet...it is Ok so long everything goes fine, but a small thing here and there can be dangeroud to mother and the young one! Since everything went on well, I am really happy! Thanks once again!
