anxiously awaiting a package

I've been gifted with an Instant Pot, which I've been wanting for years. I'm really excited about this and keep checking the tracking on the package (it's currently out for delivery and will be here sometime before 8pm). I keep wondering what I should make in it first. There's so many possibilities... a roast? A stew? Hard boiled eggs? Chicken stock? Beans? And as I typed this post... IT ARRIVED!! Do you have an Instant Pot? What do you make in it the most?

I have an Instant Pot and like it. I just got 2 Instant Pot cookbooks to help me learn how to use it more. They say that hard boiled eggs peel so easily when they are made in the IP. I've never done it though. Rice is awesome. 4 minutes!

@spiderdust I need to try it out too. I am a disaster when I try to peel them for deviled eggs. I always have to make like 3 or 4 extra!

@NJChicaa I talked to my sister earlier and she says that's her favorite use for the Instant Pot.

It's a "multicooker", or rather, it functions as a slow cooker, electric pressure cooker, rice cooker, yogurt maker, and steamer while just using one appliance's worth of space on my counter.

Cool, must be one happy camper that now that it has arrived. I will take some rabbit stew, only because I could tease my dogs with it because they can never catch one. I am evil I tell you.

I have a slow cooker, but this also has a slow cooker function. It should, in theory, take the place of my slow cooker, my rice cooker, my stove top pressure cooker, and my yogurt maker. I'm hoping to just use this one device and put the others away.

I am not sure what an instant pot is, Is it a crock pot? I have two crock pots and love using them. They are great for stews and casserole's for potlucks and big family meals.

It functions as a slow cooker and pressure cooker, as well as several other appliances. I also love my slow cookers, but counter space is precious right now.
