Meanwhile in Kansas

Today we had wind, what else is new? Lights flickered off and on all day. A coworker who was scheduled for surgery was told it had to be rescheduled due to problems all over town with the power. We had snow. We had sunshine. The state wide tornado drill went off without a hitch. It took us less than five minutes to evacuate to our shelter. The principal says we are required to have one more tornado drill this school year. Tomorrow is another day. We shall see what it has in store.

It was sunny yesterday, pretty warm and pleasant. Today it rains, but the temperature is still fine.

It is chillier today, but there does not seem to be any wind to speak of.

@LadyDuck I think I have broken away from copying your weather. We could use a lot of rain.

Yes, it was. It is pretty typical of spring time, though.

@Courtlynn It is not unusual for us to get snow in April. I hope to miss it.

I hate it when we get high winds, if we lose electric right now we would get mighty cold. Here is to better weather for you guys too.

We have a combination of gas and electric power, so we could stay warm, but it would be dark and boring.

@GardenGerty We went without electric for about 3 weeks when we had a tornado hit our town, it was Spring/Summer. We actually had fun, made out like we were living in the old days. lol

That sounds a really quick result with the tornado drill. I know they can start up in a very short time so I guess you need to be really quick to seek shelter.

Yes, especially since we evacuate across a road to the basement of a building that was built with safety in mind. We usually would get some notice and we would evacuate if there was a warning.

It was only a little snow, but it had not been in the forecast, so we were shocked.

Yes, winter is trying to hold on a bit longer, but we seem to often have wind.
