Starting our homeschool year in March / myLot

I wanted to try starting our homeschool year last September, but I couldn't make it as my baby boy still wanted my presence very much and I wasn't feeling well in those few months too. January seemed to be a good time to start, but February was a busy month for me, due to Chinese New Year. Finally, we are able to start our homeschool year in March, and I think it's a good time to start too as we have settled down after coming back from Chinese New Year vacation, and our rhythm is back to normal. Moreover, my eldest's birthday is on 26 Feb, so it's suitable to start his lessons once he has reached his birthday, that is he is already 9 years old now. Well, I actually started our lesson last Monday, but due to the water disruption, we couldn't really proceed, so we stopped and resumed the lessons today. There are still lots for me to plan and learn, but at least we can start slowly and weave into the rhythm gently. I am excited to start our homeschool lessons again, with a third grader, a kindergartener and a toddler.

Not much because I need to recover myself from gout first. But this time I'm seriously making effort to shed some pounds this year.

I think it is a wonderful thing if you can homeschool but it doesn't suit every child - or every parent.

That's really not easy to it. I often think I am not patient enough to teach. Besides, here all the children must go to school to study. When my child was little, all I did was to check his homework and sign my name. I would also teach him something when he didn't understand. That's all.
