In about six weeks we will be leaving with our caravan and heading east. We’ll visit our son in Melbourne then put the car and caravan on the ferry and head for Tasmania for three weeks. We’ve been to Tasmania once before and really enjoyed touring the island in a hire car.
Tasmania is very scenic and reminds me of England or Ireland as it has cooler, wetter climate than where we presently live. One of the places we’ll be returning to is the Georgian town of Richmond where there is an historical model village of the capital, Hobart.
It shows the town as it was in 1820 and covers an area the size of two tennis courts. There are over 60 model buildings, 500+ figures and over 100 native myrtle bonsai trees. The photo is from our last visit. I wonder if it has changed much.

One needs to have a master plan for any city to develop sensibly. But that is not what is happening here in India. Every nook and corner is used to put up high rise buildings. Where I live I have to thank those three roads that skirt our property.

@JudyEv There are neighbours across those 3 roads. Yes. I have one neighbour where the compound wall separates us.

@epiffanie Oh, just look at that! I'll keep my eyes open for it. If I find it, I'll have two - one for you and one for me - and I'll take a photo!

Do you remember the name of the cafe?
If you don't I'll just have to have lemon meringue pie in all of them.

It will be interesting for you to revisit a tourist attraction. The historical model village is a vivid historical textbook and gives visitors a good picture of life over there in 1820.

It's a model or miniature town. Can you see the tourists in the mid-distance?

We should have started treading on the grass a bit sooner but I'm sure it's all part of some pre-ordained plan.
