This Is Why I Love Winter

This morning I woke up to the snow they said we would get. It effectively covers all the grassy areas where it melted a couple days ago, but it also made everything a winter wonderland. It's like driving in a fairy tale. It's absolutely gorgeous out there.
I got a couple pictures before I left for the pool, and before I cleaned off my car. I had started and went back inside for my camera. I also got a couple pictures at the Y and the park across the street. It's predawn, and it was beautiful.
Now, I'm home for only a little while. It's picture day, which means my friend is taking my picture for my 8th month weigh in, which was yesterday. It also means I'm going to her. She's calling bingo this morning, so I'll be playing a bit of bingo as well before I find my way home again.
So, I'm going to get as many notifications done as I can before I need to leave.

I also put in a couple pictures of my Easter lily, sitting next to my poinsettia.

this is also what I noticed .. when the sun is out everybody is out. the people are just sitting out in the park.

we have been having some warm days. Today I have to get the mail and take the trash out. I might walk around the house with Lily a few times. I have to do the laundry, read some more of my book, and color some more.

No, we still have a lot of snow, mostly on the south side of the street. I'm on the north so most of the snow is gone on this side, but we still have piles of it. Fading fast though.

My day is starting out wonderful. The hubby and I had coffee outside on the front porch watching the squirrels chasing each other up and down the trees. You are really getting into doing collages. I love the photos you put together for this post. You are a natural.

@JohnRoberts My favorite game is when the snow is blowing, and the players are sliding all over the field.

I love winter, too. However, I love it more when I am not outside working in it. It is beautiful to see the snow fall. Such nice pictures. Watching it snow with hot chocolate and someone you love is so special.

It was snowing when I got up this morning and it left a bit of a white winter wonderland. Now it's gone but it was pretty while it lasted.

So true. I couldn't live in all that heat. Once it's over 75, it's too hot for me.
