SNORINGdog

Sydney, the alpha male dog wannabee is having respiratory problem. He has 3 medicines in the form of syrups to take after every meal. One is 10cc twice a day while the other two should be given at 3cc thrice a day. He comes to our house in the morning and growls at our other dogs, then plays with them later. But now, all the dogs are having their morning naps and Sydney is also asleep, but breathing noisily. He is snoring. Sometimes, either any of us (I, my son, or my sister) call each other if we see our dogs sleeping in some weird positions. But now, Sydney’s snore is so loud that we are somewhat worried. The veterinarian by the way, said that Sydney is already overweight that is why his food is adjusted and reduced. How loud does your dog snore? They also dream, right?

They are like people, when overweight they snore. It seems that dogs (and also cats and other animals) dream.

Sydney is overweight for his age, as told by the veterinarian. and that may be a reason why he snores, like an obese human being does. again, they are sleeping, including Sydney.

yes they do. if you have a pet dog, try to notice him when he is sleeping soundly

Our pet dog right now doesn't snore. Previously though, we had a couple of shih tzus and both snore when they are sleeping.

@allen0187 we know here that our dogs' bark is due to dreaming. it is soft bark. if you have a dog, i hope you will be able to check it if he barks in his sleep.

At first, I didn't know that dogs will snore. Not until I hear it myself. I was amazed and I also found out that dog farts. Lol

oh, so now, you already heard a dog snore. and also farting. yes, the dogs here fart so loud, but my son or my sister ask me, "Mama, did you just fart that loud?" hahaha! i fart loud when at home but when i am in the hospital, i try to fart in, and let it implode inside.

Our old dogs tend to snore louder than the young ones. How old is Sydney?

@sw8sincere hmmm, there is a stray cat at the backyard. maybe i can listen to the snore when she is sleeping, than i can compare the snore of a dog and a cat

@ridingbet it sounded a snore but not too loud. You will hear it when you get close to her and listen attentively.

and one more thing, they are trustworthy and they treat us as their fur family. our ogs, especially Macy the female Japanese Spitz, always comes to me to be petted, and i always stroke her fur. she looks so trusting.

I do not have a dog right now, and the cat does not snore. Although he does wake us up in the morning often choking on a hair ball. lol

haha. i hope the hairball is immediately removed from your cat's mouth. whose hair is it, anyway?
