First Day of Spring!

Winter is over.
I don't care how cold it gets from here on out, spring starts today.
More precisely, we start putting today!!!
Oh, that reminds me, I need to get my membership fees sent in. But that can wait, we don't have a state tournament for another month.
Does the weather matter? Well....not really. We had a state tournament a couple of years ago in May...and it sleeted before the start of the tourney. Then we've played in weather so hot that people have passed out (my doubles partner literally passed out coming off the last hole in a state tournament). One year we played when it was 42 and snowing...then we had our local final one year the Sunday before Thanksgiving (that's the US Thanksgiving, in November, not the Canadian Thanksgiving in October, mind you), playing in shorts.
So after work today I'll pack up the suntan lotion, the balls, the putter, and the Gatorade, and head to the course for the first of many times this year.
The locals are back!!!
This is a compilation of the 2014 Nationals that were held in Lake Charles, Louisiana. I see a lot of friends in this video...we're a close-knit group.

They are indeed. One of the winners at the end, Kevin Lacey, is on our tour. Thankfully I don’t play in his division.

@FourWalls 'Divisions' are a good idea in sports. Otherwise I think many would be put off playing at all.

That is a great way to have some fun and prepare for the intense competition. I always enjoyed playing putt-putt, or as we called it miniature golf. As a kid during summer vacation it was almost a daily event. And finally making a hole in one for a free game on the 18th giant fish hole made for a big celebration. 
I am not hard core like you are. I only play in nice weather. Of course, my golfing is strictly recreational. I am not playing in tournaments.
