My Mother in law’s tongue is growing! It was already hale and healthy but now it has started growing! Please don’t get me wrong! I am talking about the plants ‘My Mother in Law’s Tongue’ which we have planted few months back in a new pot that was presented to me by my sister. We were bit apprehensive if the plants would survive there or not! So we kept pot outdoors for a couple of months then we have taken the pot inside into our drawing room. Pleasantly the plants surprised us by growing new leaves which made us very happy! It is believed that these plants have capacity to keep the room clean by purifying the air! Do you have these plants? What are the potted plants you have in your drawing room? Please respond! Your response will be highly appreciated! Thanks!

Dear @Sreekala , You know I am a henpecked husband and I am very wife fearing (like people they are God fearing) and Can't have any guts to say anything about my MIL like this here! But then I deliberately chose this title to confuse people here who don't have the idea about this plants name! This plant all of a sudden gained popularity as a air purifier so people are getting bit crazy about this plant!! Thanks!

I just got some two days ago. So I'm still very new to them. Apparently they like indirect light and will help the air by removing VOCs (Volatile Organic Compounds) and produce a lot of oxygen, so they are very good plants to possess. I got them solely for the air quality. Currently mine are in the kitchen, though I hope to move them to the bedroom soon.

We really don't have any plants in the house aside from one given to us a few years ago during Thanksgiving. It's a small little guy with a Turkey wearing a hat as the pot. It is still alive, just meaning we have not killed it yet.
