Do you like reading discussions about topics that you have read hundreds of times before on myLot, or do you yearn for topics not often discussed here? And do you think this title is long enough yet?

Although it couldn't have been much longer, I only had 2 spaces left.
I don't know. I think I spend a LOT of time trying to find discussions to respond to that aren't your average run-of-the-mill constantly repeated things.
Although, to be honest, I repeat things too.
But with 3,175,307 discussions posted (minus those deleted, of course) it becomes hard not to talk about something already discussed to death.
And of course, with new users appearing constantly, many people haven't talked about lots of things that I see all the time.
And that's okay.
But I'm always looking for 'fresh meat'.
Something I don't see talked about all the time.
I can only handle so many pizza/ice cream discussions.
*goes off looking for a discussion about nuclear butterfly bombs or something*

And this should be the beginning of the week discussing "will you make payout?"

@andriaperry Eh, depends on who you are, I suppose. Do you want to read my old Bubblews post about mathematics and music? Some will. Most won't.

Do you prefer food from a can or a jar? I don't think I've seen that yet...

You are right, that it is hard not to repeat some topics over and over. I pick and choose what I want to respond to anyway, and if I see some discussions along the same lines that I have seen before, I just pass them by. You aren't going to please everyone with the topics you choose to post on, and tha tis okay. I have probably posted some boring ones too, and yet still getting responses. I am hoping that we do get more interesting topics instead of some of the same old topics. Maybe soon I hope.

@JolietJake My discussions I start, are pretty much based on my life, so doubtful there would be others out there like mine, although it is possible.

It is hard to come up with something completely original, although I do see original thoughts on repeated topics at times.

it the Mylotters who feel they need to share every tiny little thing they did, each and every day.
Hmmm....I got out of bed this morning....and because it was Friday....I made the bed......

Maybe it's time they brought in a minimum character count for the body of the discussion. I don't know how you'd combat the repeat stuff otherwise - and even that wouldn't stop it but they have less time to write more (discussions) - if you get my drift.

People would still find a way to talk about their favorite ice cream. Or how to earn $50 a day on myLot. Etc.

With the millions of discussions available, it is hard to find something that is 'fresh'.

@JolietJake One can try a fresh twist on a familiar subject. Both of us do daily music posts but at least it is a different song and background most of the time.

It's hard trying to think of something that has never been discussed here before.
Maybe 'Do you like stepping in dog poop?'

I don't mind repeated discussions. Sometimes, you find something interesting in the story, like if a pizza is Philippine style and topped with tinapa or smoked fish. Or if the ice cream is made from our national flower sampaguita and the resto names it jasmine ice cream.
Generally, I respond to posts that tell stories. Shallow one-liners are not my cup of tea. The writing is the key for me.
You bet, that lengthy title caught the interest.

I suppose it must be a bit boring for people who have been here years and seen the discussions go up many times before. I came back in February after a long break so most of them are fresh to me. The one thing we all have in common is MyLot so those discussions do tend to be repeated a lot.

I didn't realize a title could be that long. Once it begins rolling off the page I try to reign it in so my thought isn't lost. So now I know.
I might read a familiar topic from a person if they in particular haven't forced it down a hole already, but I don't mind the takes different people will share on it.
We all have our own perspectives on things.

Yes, some do approach things from a slightly different angle, but there are only so many ways to ask about some things.
Titles are limited to 200 characters (including spaces) which gives you quite a bit of leeway.

I tend to get bored with the same ole, same ole. I try to make all of my discussions unique and fresh. I only respond to repetitive discussions if I see something fresh about it.
