Diary Thursday 26th April 2018 A busy and invaluable day today. My pending pub sign book publisher has asked me to help create publicity flyers for the book. Though Able to create text and images, melding them together was never one of my strengths, so I asked the lady who runs the local community centre computer training courses if she could help me out. Intrigued she showed me how to use the Publisher programme on the centre's computers and another lady who volunteers there joined in too. Over three hours we came up with some very impressive flyer designs. I thanked my lovely friends and sent them off to the publisher. I did routine job searching for the remainder of the day. Diary Friday 27th 2018 My publisher liked the material sent yesterday leading to more tasks for me to do and he is sending my contract for the project very soon too. In the evening I had a performance slot at the Spark true story event at Preston's Ham & Jam Cafe. THis was preceded by a photography exhibition launch party at the cafe, attended by the Lord Mayor of Preston and there was a very good stand up comedian on too, Mick Duffy. A lovely night all round with great beer too. I'll add the text of my true story as a Mylot feature soon. The big thrill is of course looming publication. Yay! You'll get more talks once you have a book out.

@arthurchappell A book always adds credibility plus extra income from merchandising.

@JudyEv thanks, it is going well - so much work to do on it now too, getting a promise of publication leads to more work than doing the writing itself
