The gig from hell?

It's Saturday afternoon. Our gig is Sunday morning at 9 AM. It's a camp out scene, and there will be everything/everyone from grey hippies to small children there.
Our band leader has forgotten to give me directions. I call our band mate who can't make it, and he gives me directions. He's been there before.
His directions are wrong. Vasco Road ends in a "T." I am lost. I go to Livermore, and the gas station attendants there speak little English and can't help me.
I reread the program and find directions, hidden in an obscure part of the pamphlet. I get to the event as the sun is setting. I take out my guitar and a jacket. I am miles from the stage area, but a shuttle is supposed to come by soon. And then I can't find my car keys...
(...to be continued? Or am I in a ditch somewhere near Livermore CA?)

@TheHorse I do not remember my dear friend giving up. Let that Buddha help you destress.

You should make a song about it and play it at the show if you ever get there.

My mama told me there would be days like that.....
Seriously, I feel your pain. I've waited for an hour at the "west door". Only to find out....there was another "west door".

I'm anxious to hear how this ends. So far it sounds like an experience you wouldn't want to repeat. I hope your trip improves and you get where you need to be by the time you need to be there.

That sounds a worse scenario than I've ever encountered!
Let's get this straight .... you are at approximately the right place in a part of America where people barely speak any English (?), you have parked your car and have lost the keys (let's hope that's temporary) but have your guitar and a jacket and some vain hope that a shuttle will turn up and ALL this is some 12 hours before you're due to play???

You must chose your destinations carefully or you get lost in desert. ~ some old person said that
