Rhubarb and Strawberry Pie---First of the year.

Hello everyone.been waiting to make my first of the year.
I got some nice fresh rhubarb and organic strawberries.
Looks good,but taste will have to wait tonight.
Lot of work for me.But worth it.
Mike is getting finally the garden dug and composed it.
Will start buying plants now.

Mike is such a lucky man! You bake the most amazing cookies and pies. I would just about die for a slice of that pie, its been 30 years since I had fresh baked rhubarb and strawberry pie. My ex`s mom made them, I liked her, not her son.

We don't eat rhubarb as food here. It seems to be a kind of medicine.

I have rarely had strawbery and rhubarb pie..but I know it is a good combination..enjoy!

That does look like a delicious pie, I had planned to make some strawberry rhubarb crumble but never got the time.

I planted both last year and was just out this morning checking on their progress. Both are doing well in spite of the winter we had and I can't wait to combine these two into a pie!!

I love rhubarb pie. My Mom made the best and she would serve it with vanilla ice cream.
